I live close to a very small airfield EGTO. this airfield is very small with only grass runway and a few small buildings. A few private passanger
flights are flown from there. As i live so close to this airport I would like to start my career there. Will FSpassanger allow to me to fly from
this airport? and still use all the features like fuel costs and airport costs ect ect. Or is it designed for larger aifields?
It's strange that for years we have waited for utilities which add this type of gameplay to MSFS, then along come two. Airliner Pilot from
Just Flight and FSP which I've just discovered today. Quick question to the FSP developer, the, will it lead to problems having both Airliner
Pilot and FSP installed or will they both work exclusive of each other?
Many thanks and looking forward to an interesting add on.
FsP doesn't include a complex maintenance game with several differents parts to repair
this is not the goal and I think it would be boring (what's the fun to select gear -> repair then flap -> repair etc
etc ?)
so you have to repair all the damage and make the maintenance with one click...
Howewer, FsP include now part damage detection wich is closely linked with the failures
and the way you fly...
For example here I had a "bird strike in engine" failure at take off and landed off the landing strip
so you can see that the engine is damaged (due to bird strike) but also the gear (due to roll
off the landing strip) for a small total of $8mo...
Here below I exceeded the max speed for gear and they blowed out resulting in a belly landing,
nobody where injured but the bottom of the aircraft as well as engine, wings and of course gear
are destroyed...
So now every failure that you may have can be seen on the maintenance display: tank, gear, flaps,
hull, system , hydraulic and electrical failures. Also if you do bad things as rolling off, exceeding speed
or such you will see also the damages... (you may notice that exceeding gear speed will be a costly
error ... but it depend also of your belly landing, if you land with the slowest speed possible and very
gently the cost will be a bit reduced)
hi everybody,
I saw a link for FsPassengers press release on avsim, and boy, does this program sounds impressiv!!!
However I have a question : will Fspassengers "interact" with fs9 default ATC ?
I would like to know if we will be able to declare to default ATC an emergency or anything else, and will ATC handle it? ,I'm afraid that if we
have to divert our route, ATC would just "terminate IFR service", like it usually do when we don't follow it instructions.
Well I hope that I'm clear enough, and that my english is corect.
thanks in advance for those of you who will take time to reply....
Today, Dan / FSPassengers sent a press release in which, first he presented FSPassengers in a few words and then he explained in
great details the main features and how it works, what it does for you, and what you can expect from FSPassengers.
Hello,
I was just setting here playing with Alert Pro... Well I don't mean to talk down on a man's hard work especially went I
don't know how to program.
I was playing with the ole PMDG 1900-C and trying to config Alert with it... Well I went ahead and shut ole Alert down. While I
was doing that I thought one thing I really enjoy from Alert is when you land hard on the right or left gear it yanks the plane to the left or
right in a whipstich.
So you have to really act fast and throw in opposite rudder and shut her down ASAP... And most of the time I can
come out of a landing like that if I do those things in a cool orderly manner.
So of course this leads to me asking if FSPassengers will have anything like that implemented in it? You know lets say you are
getting a little hot shot come in to hard or stress the flaps airframe etc... Can you have some things go out and really effect the aircraft to a
degree to wear you are all over in the cockpit not to mention buttcrack squeezing the seat but there is still a chance of recovering while
fighting some of these damages?
And you lose points of course for damages but will get at least a penny for pulling through a tight situation and staying cool?
One question I have is lets say you did actually damage your flaps on a plane lets say on the right side wouldn't you be receiving alot
more drag on one side if the other was kinda bent more out of porportion than the other?
LOL... Once again just brainstorming... This just popped in my head just now also. Wonder if a pilot has ever lost their landing lights
coming in to an airfield or blown tires?
Sorry for requesting miracles (LOL)...
In General in Pilot Magazine I have read some pretty hairy articles on Icing over on planes such as winshields having thin sheets of ice
on them and much worse than that.
Oh yeah and my uncle is a private pilot and get this one time before take off he lost rudder control on just one side of a C172RG. Luckly it
was before he was able to rotate and he shut it down in time. Guess it was a cable snapped that connects to the rudder.
P.S. Guess this post was about what are the details of failures and chance of recovery on some of them in FSPassengers?
I fly almost exclusively 737 and my question is regarding buying fuel in fspassengers. Im not sure how I should over estimate my fuel
calculations. Example, I just flew from CYEG(edmonton) to PANC(Anchorage Alaska) fs2004 says that it should take roughly 2600
gallons of fuel. So I Usually gas up with about 1000-1500 extra gallons. Im afraid that this will not be cost effective in fspassengers. So
how much extra fuel does real airlines carry per flight of about 1200 nm or so, roughly 2 hour and 40 minute flight at 31000 feet. FYI, when
I landed I had about 850 gallons left and I over estimated on this particular flight of 1300 gallons. So I believe that u real pilots out there,
this question should be for you or by experienced flight simmers. I dont want to continuously buy too much fuel for fspassengers if its not
necessary. (when it comes out that is) Thanks in advance to all who may reply, Jimmy
