Hi,
I fly in VR using FlyInside and love FsPassengers for the ambience it provides. I do have a few issues controlling it during a flight, though.
My preferred solution would be VoiceAttack. Anybody got an idea why the key presses VoiceAttack sends to the sim are not received by FsPassengers?
Any advice would be welcome.
Cheers,
Marc
I fly in VR using FlyInside and love FsPassengers for the ambience it provides. I do have a few issues controlling it during a flight, though.
- FlyInside does some Black Magick to put FSX/P3D into VR, one of the tricks it uses is opening the main sim window with certain dimensions that cannot be changed. I can use the sim menus from inside VR, but to do that I have to "jump" out of the cockpit into a virtual desktop (pausing the sim). The mouse "emulation" of FlyInside can't open all levels of the nested menus, because the sim window is too narrow.
That means I can control the seat belt sign, but not the services. To have drinks or food served, I actually need to find and grab the mouse. It's possible, but not comfortable and quite an immersion breaker.
- As I can't see my keyboard, it's not very comfortable to use the keyboard shortcuts directly. My usual solution is VoiceAttack, but for some reason, while I can control the sim fine using VoiceAttack, the key presses meant for FsPassengers just don't register.
- When using FlyInside, for unknown reasons the command buttons in the small info window don't work, neither from within the cockpit, nor on the virtual desktop but also not on the "real" desktop. FlyInside automatically undocks all windows opened in the sim, puts them on the desktop and "imports" them into the virtual cockpit as floating windows. Perhaps that process disables those buttons somehow?
My preferred solution would be VoiceAttack. Anybody got an idea why the key presses VoiceAttack sends to the sim are not received by FsPassengers?
Any advice would be welcome.
