Just guessing here but i think the seatbelt sign can give you penalties if you use it wrongly while the non smoking sign has no consequences

Because in most countries, it is illegal to smoke on any flight, no matter what the airline says. Although, it'd be cool to have that and get extra
money but a fee from the FAA if you turn off the no smoking sign.

That's true. I think it's not included because of the fact that on most commercial flights, smoking is illegal. If you're flying charter, or
private aircraft, different rules apply. If the no-smoking sign was included in FSP, what would it say in the report? "9/137 passengers are currently smoking"? ![]()

It's funny how you make humor out of airline safety Brad, as you are airline personnel yourself....
And on ALL commercial DOMESTIC flights are no smoking brad, not commercial INTERNATIONAL flights just to let you know that. In international flights, they could care less, I mean on Singapore Airlines, they literally let the pilots smoke and then it gets recirculated into the passenger cabin. Some food for thought...

I come close to throwing up when someone near me smokes.
If that was still allowed on commercial flights, I'd be diving out the door at FL400. Without a chute.

I think you're taking everything a little too serious bomen! I take safety as a very serious matter, as do all pilot's I know. Keep in mind that none of my posts are to be taken as real world flying advice. They are simply for flight sim use, and can be used in any way you'd like in regards to that. Every International flight I've been on has been no-smoking. I've never been on a flight in which people are smoking. It's viewed as unprofessional these days (in regards to your post about pilot's smoking), and I've never seen a pilot smoking on board an aircraft.
