I agree I voted no as well. For all of you that are blowing tires my computer isn't the greatest either, but i practiced and practiced until i got
it right every time. I even went as far as turning the graphics all the way up and still landed it with 6 fps without blowing the tires. Do as i
did turn the settings down on your computer, detailed clouds, water, autogen, cars boats, ships all seem to have a huge performance
decrease on the game for slower systems. use simple clouds turn the water slider all the way down, turn autogen all the way down and
turn the cars boats and ships very far down. This should increase your fps while still able to keep some good textures and graphics. As I
said in another post I was very frustrated when i first bought the game about six months ago because i was also blowing tires on every
landing, but it is very simple if you practice and use everyones tips. I find it easy for me to turn the autopilot off just after intercepting the
glide slope, I like my flaps at 30 for good lift (737-800) and fly straight to the runway threshold. as i hit the runway threshold i decrease
throttle but don't start my flare until the FO calls out 50ft. once at fifty feet i pull up so the nose of the plane is pointing about 3/4 down the
runway. just watch your speed if your speed drops to low before touchdown you will (fall) onto the runway thereforeblowing a tire. once FO
calls 10 make sure you are slowly easing on to the runway.
A patch is a cheat, to me it's one thing if you have to turn off penalty's for ground traffic hitting you or unseen objects because these are
issues with fsx not fspax, but the blowing of tires is solely on you the pilot. The two most dangerous parts of flight are takeoff and landing
If you can't do them without cheating then you arent using the game the way it was designed. I'm glad there was not a patch available
when i was frustrated otherwise I would probably never have learned and wouldn't be hooked on the game like I am now. It would have
been just another purchase I made and played for a month then just let it go. This add on has kept my interest in the flight sim world
because now it is a challenge to fly correctly and not Busch leauge flight sim!
