There's no way in reality to by the plane that you have already bought, reapired and sold!!! No way! You buy it, sell it, and have to search for

I do understand that it is a flaw in the code, and it should be brought to Dan's attention (and might already have been). I know plenty about software
flaws since most of my job entails fixing software which flies on real aircraft.

The fact that it can be used as a "cheat" (at least by your definition) doesn't make it any different from, or worse than, other flaws or "features"
in the software.

I dont think its about it mattering to you or anyone else, but its enjoyable to read a thread then add input a bit off tangent and have a

And like I said earlier if you know anything about the cfg file, you could make a DC3 fly at supersonic speeds, carrying 1000 VIP pax,
hauling 150,000lbs carg, and be able to fly continuously for 1000+ hours without a refuel

Covoxer... I also love a debate as well, but I've got one question for you....... if Snake is simply taking advantage of a "loop-hole" within FSP
and is not harming anyone else while doing it... then if I'm the judge and jury on this one.....I'd call it "CASE CLOSED" there is no harm here....

Yes, you are right! The flaw is not guilty that someone can use it for cheating.

Well, there are games where you do not play against someone. By your opinion it is inpossible to cheat in those games right? Because
you do not have anyone to cheat except yourself. Right?
Well, wrong! I'll give you extremely simple example - strategy games. Those that you play alone. There are a lot of them.
So, your opinion is that there can be no cheating among strategy players? Well, if you not play such games, then ask some hardcore
players if they consider anything as a cheating.
Because they do.
Cheating is playing not by rules. And don't ask me rules of the FsP! It is simulator, so it's rules are the laws of the simulated environment
or you may call it virtual reality. There are many laws in FsP's reality. So I'll skip this part if you don't mind.

Bad example! You can't compare rach and poor - they are playing different games!
While we all are playing FsP.
Besides they ARE cheating sometimes - as I say, they do not brake a law but cheating. These are two different things.

Sure! But the question is why do you play in economy mode if you do not care about the money only career?
Set it to careere mode with economy off and you'll be able to fly any plane you pilot is certified for!
No need to look for loopholes e.t.c.

Well, if you say so. Yes, you cheat yourselve. But for example, if you would play scenario or fly for VA than you would cheat others too.
Besides as I've told before, you may cheat in game without cheating someone - simply you play not by the rules. In this case you are
cheating a program. Please read carefully my previus posts as they include answer on this question

First of all, there are some ways that violates the law so this thinking is not 100% correct.
For example, if you are happy to make some kind of reverse engineering, then you are not allowed to do it since buying FsP you have
signed EULA that prohibits you this kind of activity.
As to the cheating, yes, if you are happy to do it than it's great and I'm happy for you!
You are not prohibited to cheat in FsP!
But when you write about it on forum, anyone has right to write his opinion about such kind of playing.
This should be done since someone else can use your advice thinking that this is almost official feature since it is recommended on
FsP forum!
Now atleast they will know that this is a cheat and so they can make a right decision as to this issue.

Personally I would consider it cheating, although I have made profit by selling aircraft myself. However, in those cases I sold the plane because I didn't like it or because it was too expensive too maintain. I even once sold a damaged plane for more than I bought it in undamaged (though bad maintenance) condition.
I have a warning for the topic starter: it doesn't matter if this is called cheating or not. Just take care you are not cheating yourself out of a lot of fun. I must confess I have cheated with other games in the past, mainly in adventures, just to get to the solution.
The end result was usually that I didn't get everything out of the game that was in it. Sure I could walk past all obstacles with a guide or
walkthrough and finish it without a lot of thought, but I often lost interest in the game before the end.

Just my two cents here. I view cheating as altering the existing rules to give yourself an advantage in a game/simulator to more easily achieve the
goals of completion, IE Winning. For FSP the goals of completion are set by the user and are differnet for everyone. In this case maybe the goals
are to get to a certain company value and own a certain plane. If he's buing and selling aircraft as a way of funding this project not a big deal
he's making an investment, improving that investment (reparing the plane), and then selling it at a higher value. Now is this an intended part of
FSP, no. It's a flight simulator add-on not an economics simulator add-on. Buying, repairing, maturing, and selling will usually go over a time
frame of several months if you doing this to 7 planes in between flights in which one lands at 1pm and the other takes off at 4pm on the same day this
is a bit unrealistic, but so is flying with the P-Factor or gyrscopic procession features turned off or the auto-mixture on if your flying a Cessna 172.

Now in the scenario at hand it sounds as though he's buying the same exact oppurtunity over and over again. I wouldn't call it a cheat as he didn't
do anything to give himself an advantage. Instead he's taking advantage of a loophole, that I believe, the developer didn't intend to be there. This
would be an exploit, and there fore I would call him an exploiter not a cheater. However that's like trying to argue the difference between someone
who only kills one person and a serial killer. Which person is more wrong??

Ok, obviously, you do not get it. Well, whatever, you are not the only person reading this forum.
Your latest post only proves that you do not read all I wrote and particularly my answer on your previous post. Or you are clearly do not
understand what is stated there. I'm not intended to repeat it all over again as you drink you canadien beer. My answer on this post is the
same as on your previous one, since you didn't add anything new.

I just hope that my efforts to explain some, not quite obvious aspects of the described technique, will be informative or at least interesting
for some other FsP users.
It is not supposed to prevent people to do it. They just have to know why this way of earning money in FsP was not intended by the
gameplay created by it's author. If it does not metter, no problem then, continue. But for someone else it may be important. So I have to
share my knowledge about it.
Sorry, if someone do not like to hear the truth, but this is a free forum so you should expect that if you write something that you do not
quite understand, someone would comment it or explain it for you.
