I took the liberty to rename the topic of this thread, "SILLY Tutorial" as it was called doesn't really cover the contents

EDITING NIGHT SCREENSHOTS
Just a quickie on how to enhance those "Very nice in FS very dark once posted" screenshots. Look at this screenshot taken in Vienna Intl Airport at night, can you even recognize the aircraft? ![]() Go to Image/Adjustments /Levels... and move the centre and right sliders to the left until you get some illumination. Modifying the Lightness would not get the same results as we get with Levels. Check the screenshot. ![]() Duplicate the layer and go to Filter/OptikVerve Labs/Virtual Photographer...Photocopy and reduce the opacity to something less exagerated (40%). ![]() Merge both layers and duplicate it once more. Apply Filter/Rchard Rosenman/Diffuse Glow... ![]() We will add some depth to the screenshot, focusing on the background. Select what you want to remain unblurred, RIGHT clic and "Select Inverse" ![]() ...RIGHT clic and "Layer via Copy" ![]() ...and apply Filter /Blur /Gaussian Blur with a radius between 1 and 3. ![]() ..et voila!! ![]() Can you recognize the aircraft now? ![]()
