took me ages to work this out, and had to be told in the end
you do not steer with the 1 or 2 you press 'shift + p' and immediately after, you press either 1 or 2 (using the numbers along top) if you want to push straight back for a little while and then turn shift + p - for push back then shift+p to stop - then shift+p then a number to pushback/turn takes a couple of 2nds for the turn to begin does that make sense or am i rambelling?

go to this link get the fscopilot download and in that download there is pushback where all you have to do is put in the amount of feet
push back the turn distance in degrees and youll even hear ground talking to you at the time of pushback http://ftp.www.mcdu.com/mcdu/SetupFSCopilot14B4.exe this will take care of it i guarantee

there is also a wonderful groundhandling gauge suite by Rob Barendregt at AVSIM. It handles pushback, parking brakes and taxi. I know what you are
thinking: I need a gauge for this? But check it out it is wonderful and easy to add. I don't use the full suite anymore since most of my fleet is light GA but I still install the parking brake portion in every aircraft. ![]()

its great Drew something i use often because default pushback sucks.. It also does the landing data info tells you the temperature and
pressure altitudes also you can use time sync where it keeps you up to date with real time every 10 or 20 seconds or so. Im not sure of the time frame but it works great. It really adds to real time flying. Ground control even tell you to set parking brakes, okay release brakes ready for push please start engines, and tell you okay have a good day captain.. Really nice ![]()

I use fscopilot all the time for pushback - works great. Once you've set your pushback options and called for pushback, you can close the pushback
dialog window and everything works in the background, while you go about doing your checklists or whatever.

FS2Crew is a great program that includes a very realistic pushback module as well. Might be worth checking out
