Stupid question about pushbacks - Ricard - 12-12-2005 After i start a pushback in an Airbus 330 i try to steer the tail with 1 & 2 but nothing happens, i have no idea what im doing wrong. Can anyone help?? Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - Drew - 12-12-2005 took me ages to work this out, and had to be told in the end you do not steer with the 1 or 2 you press 'shift + p' and immediately after, you press either 1 or 2 (using the numbers along top) if you want to push straight back for a little while and then turn shift + p - for push back then shift+p to stop - then shift+p then a number to pushback/turn takes a couple of 2nds for the turn to begin does that make sense or am i rambelling? Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - samiranks - 12-12-2005 go to this link get the fscopilot download and in that download there is pushback where all you have to do is put in the amount of feet push back the turn distance in degrees and youll even hear ground talking to you at the time of pushback http://ftp.www.mcdu.com/mcdu/SetupFSCopilot14B4.exe this will take care of it i guarantee Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - SaVas - 12-12-2005 Hmmm never saw that before samiranks. Methinks I will have to look at that when I get home later. thanksfor the link Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - CowlFlapsOpen - 12-12-2005 there is also a wonderful groundhandling gauge suite by Rob Barendregt at AVSIM. It handles pushback, parking brakes and taxi. I know what you are thinking: I need a gauge for this? But check it out it is wonderful and easy to add. I don't use the full suite anymore since most of my fleet is light GA but I still install the parking brake portion in every aircraft. It also does the landing data info tells you the temperature and pressure altitudes also you can use time sync where it keeps you up to date with real time every 10 or 20 seconds or so. Im not sure of the time frame but it works great. It really adds to real time flying. Ground control even tell you to set parking brakes, okay release brakes ready for push please start engines, and tell you okay have a good day captain.. Really nice ![]() Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - samiranks - 12-12-2005 Quote:SaVas wrote: Let me know how it works for you, or any questions http://www.mcdu.com thats the website and forum location Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - lightrail - 13-12-2005 I use fscopilot all the time for pushback - works great. Once you've set your pushback options and called for pushback, you can close the pushback dialog window and everything works in the background, while you go about doing your checklists or whatever. Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - jeremy19446 - 13-12-2005 The link does not work for me ![]() Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - samiranks - 13-12-2005 which link jeremy? go to http://www.mcdu go to enter site go to forum go to fscopilot . when you get there,,,, there is a thread that says fscopilot cannot download or something of that sought.. click on it and the link is there.. or try this again http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2060 Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - SWAFO - 13-12-2005 FS2Crew is a great program that includes a very realistic pushback module as well. Might be worth checking out ![]() Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - Dutch64 - 13-12-2005 Quote:SWAFO wrote: But there is no fs2crew for the a330 ![]() Re: Stupid question about pushbacks - lightrail - 13-12-2005 try here for fscopilot http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2060 http://www.mcdu.com/en/fscopilot.php click on the download link (just below the red title information) in the forum that the first link above takes you to. |
