Let's try to see it by another angle
Behind add ons like FsPassengers there are thousands hours of work. Same for the hard core planes, weather, ATC, sceneries
programs.
The developpers need to earn their life. So whatever is the box in which webuy the product, we have to pay it. Should FsPassengers
beeing included in FS 2004, the price of FS 2004 would be something like
70$ + 31$ = 101$ Add after the price for all others add on you wish and then the standard price of FS2004 grows up to 200$ as simple as
this
Now, think about the beginner just starting with flight simulator. What shall do with FsP or in the cold and dark cockpit of an hard core
airliner a beginner, who don't know the basics of flying and navigation ? More likely, he will just get disgusted, FS would then become just
something for a few fan ready to involve the necessary time to learn it. => less selling => Higher price for each unit. (by force, the same
work to pay by less people)
FS by its own is indeed a "starter's kit". The Rod Machado's lessons need a good while to be completed successfully. Then the add ons
become nice one after the others depending about eachone's taste.
A fan of aerobatics will buy different things than an airliner's fan or a soaring adicted.
I would agree a bit more about FSUIPC. It is a great set of bugfixes, I think Pete Dawson deserve all earning comming from this. but from
our side, it is for the main part paying to get rd of the bugs Microsoft an some payware editors don't bother to solve as they should.
About Active Camera:
Try in the freewar-market F1View. Very simple, it is OK to walk around you virtual cabin, adjust zooms and view points
