There we finally have it. Win 8 may be the biggest issue here. As stated in your other thread, FsP was developed prior to Win7 and Win 8. It's natural
then to see issues crop up in Win 8. Yes, you may have used FsP for years without issues but then you switched to a brand new OS. If that was made
clear in your original post, the discussion could have been much shorter.

Dan is clearly working on a FsP patch for FSX and FSX-SE. Maybe this will clear up most or all issues with Win 7 and Win 8 platforms.

Hmmm....interesting. How come it was working well until the other day. I had 8.1 and no issues. But, oh well, I guess I will wait for patch to come out. Until then 😢

Hey, I am still willing to help you get a stable platform if possible. as I stated, I am leaving on a trip for Colorado in the morning and will be back on the 25th (USA) time. Let
me research all there is on this issue and If I find some good reliable answers, I will post it in a new thread under FSX General. Remember that an OS is just a platform
just as is FSX. Sometimes we have to fit a square peg in a round hole!

Please don't think I'm being ungrateful. I appreciate all efforts into figuring this out. It's just FSP is a must have for me to enjoy FSX. Without it, FSX isn't worth messing with.

Flying fat, dumb and happy using 8.1 for about a year now. jupster, I think your main problem is holding your beer glass in the wrong hand while flying.
In all seriousness though, I know that my OS could crash my flight at any time. It's something that the old guys like me Joe have known forever. The worst period for us
was when Vista came out.

Fortunately I never used Vista...went from XP to Win7 64....now that was like going from Apache's old Commodore pc to a rocket ship With Win7 I
have had zero issues with FsP. Yet, many users have had issues with Win7 and even more with Win 8. It really depends on multiple factors in each
person's rig and configuration.

It was the best of times it was the worst of times. I know how jupster must feel right now. I also know that a solution is possible. If you haven't found a solution by the time I
return from Colorado, I will be researching this issue until I find one. This is not out of the question, but you might consider a copy of windows 7. I just built a new PC and
that was the OS I decided on. This new PC is just for FSX. I have a 500gig main drive and a 2TB Secondary drive for running and storing FSX. Microsoft still sells windows

Did you read my thread in the FSX general ? FSX windows 8 & 8.1. Check it out and see if you have tried all the areas I researched. You are not alone with this problem.
There are posts everywhere. I Put this thread in with you in mind,
