Liveopenskies, thank you so very much. My FSPassengers didn't work after my OS upgrade to Win7, but your tutorial has fixed it.
One thing that isn't obvious from your guide is that the compatibility wizard needs to be run on the *setup program for FSPassengers*. From your description, people will be looking for an installed piece of software called "FSPassenger.exe" after installing it, and that would be wrong. One last thing - I've been a customer for years, but have never taken the time to say thank you to Dan... Dan, this software adds a dimension to the sim that it desperately needed. The challenge it presents gives so much more realism and is even better than what MS did with the FSX missions. If there's any way that I can contribute (other than paying you, which I've already done) then please let me know.

On my Windows 7 PC I don't see FSPassengers listed under the programs.
I am going crazy with the wrong authorization message. Let me know what I can do. Regards, Teo

My situation was a bit different. For some reason the registry entries for fs2004 were deleted. I discovered that when I tried to reinstall
FSPassengers. I used the utility from http://www.visualflight.co.uk/fs2004toolkit/ called FS2004_IS_HERE.exe and FSP worked again. It also fixed a few other nagging problems with a black screen that I had.

Any solution to the "wrong authorization" problem when using XP. I purchased the download version for FSX and it worked fine until today.
thanks for any help Jack

There are many solutions and the all inside the search function. The solutions work for different people depending on the hardward and
software of thier own individual computer setup. ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

Thanks for the response gbapache but I had searched the sites for hours with no success before posting the last message. I have
searched the forum and have found many posts of people trying to get an answer but in many cases being told to search for an answer or they have given reports of efforts that failed. Under the heading of "The Solution of the Problem (Wrong authorization)... Finally found !!!", it is full of attempts that failed, no solutions relating to xp and fsx. If the solutin is out there, it is definitely not easily found. I offer a friendly challenge..try and fine it. If you do and do fine it I will be very impressed but right now I am very frustrated. If this problem is getting to be a headache for more and more people then the solution, if it exits, should be easily found. correct???? Your response?? Jack

Hi
I just downloaded the demo version FSpassangersX, unfortunately, still does not work in win 7 64bit system. I tried all sorts of ways, and unfortunately I could not find a solution. I installed everything well on Vista 64bit but unfortunately did not work. to the end do not know if this is a problem authorization, I have started an endless loading screen load FSX Please help may be there are other solutions?

Falcon3124,
Please can you describe your problem with the Demo version of FSPX? IF you are using the Demo version then you are unlikely to be experiencing Wrong Authorisation issues, as you do not require an unlock key; only purchased versions require an unlock key, which is why people get the wrong authorisation message - FSP, for some reason, stops recognising the unlock key. From what you say in your post, you are experiencing "Splash screen haning", which has been experienced by many people here, and there are a few threads knocking around the forums about the issue.

Yes it`s a "Splash screen haning"
I have tried many ways described on various forums, and unfortunately none of them worked. Then probably i have to install win. xp Post Edited ( 01-01-12 18:11 ) |
