Did anyone from England not see the program on Channel 4 a while back, going undercover about Ryanair. There was a delay and the
pilot said "I dont care about these (Bleep)'ing passengers, I just want to get back to (Cant remember airport)!! They are nasty! Sure glad I wasnt on that flight ![]()

This actually is not that hard to do, esp if two airports are close together and have similar runway orientations. That's why it is suggested that you
always tune the ILS, even for a visual approach. But this runway may not have had an ILS. ![]() ______________________________________ Brandon Jones Western Michigan University College of Aviation Aviation Flight Sciences Major FAA Certified Flight Instructor Cirrus SR20

This reminds of the Northwest crew who landed the Airbus at the Airforce base in Rapid City,SD. a couple of years ago(I think it's been
that long ago already). Since the RAP regional is only 6NM from Ellsworth AFB, it is easy for any pilot, especially one not familiar with area, to get a bit confused and land at the wrong location. Since the incident with NW, DEN approach now warns flight crews of the AF base nearby. Too bad they didn't offer that warning to the NW crew ![]()
