I agree, I think that "suck" is rather offensive and an unecessary qualification for that add-on.

I personally removed the Airliner Pilot demo from my system because it didn't meet my needs (I want freedom and some basic
economics). Nonetheless, I do think that it's a program that has lots of potential and appeal to the right crowd. In fact, I probably would
have bought it had I not found FsP.

go on their forum to say what's wrong in your opinion, first because this forum it mainly
dedicated to FsP not AP and second because speaking like that of an add-on is not

To say that something s..ks insults the intelligence of everyone associated with this forum...the developers, those interested in seeing FSP become a
great product (more so than it is already), and those who simply want to learn more about it. I can't think of another product forum who would
tolerate such behavior, particularly in discussing competitive products. It is, by all manner of speaking, the most unprofessional type of discussion
that no one wants to hear, and no one wants here.

Well put Deacon. It is time people went back to having a bit more respect for others, something the teenagers of today with their "rights"
seem to be allowed to forget is that with age comes wisdom, and knowledge, and they don't see the hard work that goes into something.
ALL software released has teething troubles, from the most expensive down to the freeware stuff, it doesn't give anyone the right to say
something sucks just because they don't like it, or it doesn't work on their system.

And it teaches you to FLY the plane, instead of just hitting Autopilot in Nav mode and sitting back to let it do all the work. Even with
Autopilot engaged you have to monitor what's going on, and adjust the heading indicator. And if you want to see a map and/or use add-
ons like VoxATC or FSHotseat then you need to use FSNav and plug your route in then export it. Or is that a little too much hard work for
all you young-uns nowadays?

Well said John. Simulation is about expanding your horizons and also a learning experience. I have recently started using the FMC's that
come with the PMDG 737's and the LDS-767 and while I haven't quite got the hang of Vnav yet I get a real sense of satisfaction out of
watching my plane following the flightpath I've laid in, interceding as necessary to follow ATC instructions. However when I first saw an
FMC I was a little bit scared and lamented not being able just to flick the GPS switch. Now I'm reluctant to go back. At my age (44) the
brain can sometimes be a bit reluctant to absorb new information but I "play" MSFS to challenge myself a bit.

As for this young man's comment about AP having nothing but flights, well er excuse me but it is a flight simulator. And if you're
thinking like that then any flight in FS as it stands is by nature "only a flight" at least AP gives you a bit of a goal as will FsP in a different
manner. If he's that dis-satisfied with AP then take it back to the shop or return it to Just Flight for a refund.

I have never heard of these VOXATC and FShotseat... interested to know what this is all about. (sorry im fairly new to community of FS)

VOXATC is a cool voice activated ATC system. It cannot control default AI planes, but instead you just hear planes talking to the same
ATC as you. However you actually get to talk to ATC, yes talk, through a microphone, and say all the proper phrases, it also recognises
emergencies and SIDs/STARs, though I never used these.

FSHotseat is an environment upgrade, it supplies you with a co-pilot who assists with checklists etc. and who can fly the plane along a
route. CP can handle lowering gear/flaps, turnine lights on/off, even opening the throttle on take-off. Other enhancements include AI traffic
making a lot of noise (trust me when I say it sounds real too), a radio that can be set to play all your mp3 files (nice way to chill when
flying on autopilot), and sounds from the flight attendants etc.

Both are payware and try before you buy, full functionality but limited to a certain area.

I recommend try them, I can't do w/out FSHS now and I know a lot of ppl who won't ever go back to default atc, I did because I had a few to
many near misses with default traffic turned on, and that I'm afraid is where the 2 of them disagree, if you want to hear the airport sound
real you need ai traffic, but Vox can't handle ai traffic so you are there but not there as far as default traffic is concerned.

Hope this helps. And I think once this comes out you would not regret FSHS in any way, as it does help to improve your flying. You have to
let the copilot do an equal amount or suffer accordingly, same if they do too much.

jboweruk. what in the world do you have against young people. There is over a 100 peers in my program alone that learn the most
ancient way of navigation which is dead reckoning. If anything I can say that your FS ethics are lagging behind. I hope you dont think that
FSHS and VOXATC are the advanced software. Vatsim is by far more real and advanced. Once you learn how to fly IFR properly using
VATSIM, those addons are like a joke.

Two questions about ATC solution on the net (VATSIM and similar)...

1. Does it have (VATSIM) a constant acceptable speed of data flow (doesnt it slow down radically from time to time) ?
2. How well is - say - Europe covered by ATC personel? In other words, if I depart under VATSIM from a relatively small airport, will there
surely be a controller whom I can talk to???

I ask, because if the above mentioned points yield some problems (like lack of human controllers, or slow network), then VoxAtc could be
a fair solution, couldnt it?

I have never tried any of them, that is why I am asking.
