Hello Ian,
If you are getting OOM Out of memory errors in FSX, this has to do with VAS Virtual Address Space which is separate from RAM. FSX is a 32 bit program but if you have a
64 bit version of windows (7) you should apply the HIGHMEMFIX=1 into your fsx.cfg folder. This will increase your VAS to a total of 4 gig. If you need more info , post back
and I will give you a step by step.
I also just created a new thread entitled" FSX for people who have to start over" I created it with you in mind in case you should have to start from scratch. I
am retired due to heath reasons so time I do have. I would be happy to help if you need further info.
