Contacted my bank tonight. They're on it. Hopefully a charge back will go through and he won't get to keep the money.
What Dan really ought to do is update the web site with a warning about the Steam Edition not working. As a developer myself, I understand this kind of unexpected
thing. If he'd have just responded with "sorry, this Steam thing was unexpected and it broke the software. I'll refund your money or you can wait a few weeks while I sort
out an update" I'd have been fine with it and just waited for an update. No big deal.
My issue isn't so much that it doesn't work with the Steam Edition, but the lack of response since my December 23rd inquiry. Two weeks ought to be enough time, I'd think.
It's the principle of the matter that annoys me. From other comments in the forums it would appear he's been unresponsive or missing from this for a very long time, so I
don't expect to hear from him.
Hopefully he's alive and well at least. If he is, wow, this is not a good way to handle one's business affairs at all.
