One thing that has not been discussed in this thread, but that is at the heart of the issue, is rank. Any game that has a ranking system needs
consistent rules by which those ranks are achieved. Otherwise, the ranks mean nothing. I see quite a few members with signatures that include their
FSP ranks. The easier you make it to achieve the higher ranks, the less they mean. One person may have accomplished C7 through hard work and
perseverance while another person may have achieved C7 by just turning off (disabling) features.
I sometimes get penalized for leaving a door open or for tail strikes. So, how about an option to disable these penalties!? Better yet, FSP for me
is not really any fun unless I have a higher rank....how about an option that allows me to set my rank to whatever I want it!!??
Seriously people, achieving by diligence and hard work is the most fun you'll ever have! Give it a try!
Any configuration that makes the career progression easier/less realistic should be reflected in the points awarded. The more realistic (harder) a person's configuration, the more points that should be awarded for a given flight.
