I agree on the approach speeds Whiskey. My final landing speed in the 737 is around 125.
Also, the trick to making these landings without blowing a tire, along with the speed, is holding the aircraft in a nose up attitude until the
aircraft is on the ground, rear tires first. I always had a tendency to want to put the aircraft down almost level so I could see where I was going.
This will hold the plane in the air too long and then you will overcompensate by driving it onto the runway and blow a tire.
Hold the flare and let the aircraft settle onto the runway. I haven't blown a tire in many flights and I fly mainly the 737 and 747.
