Frankly , as a new pilot here, I can appreciate the idea of learning to fly correctly. I also agree with the newer pilots for the addition of this
option . What I cannot see is why so many have to force their way into trying to stop this addition.
My problem is a bit different. with FSX I have a video card that will hadle the game beautifully. The problem is the rest of my computer is to
slow and bottlenecked. I bought FSX for the Graphics and hopefully ( haven't seen much of it yet ) improved flight dynamics. I love flying
with seemingly real enviorment and when I come into land is when I find the problem. about 10-100 ft off the ground , the simulator
skips/stutters due to generating the surrounding land and airport. When it does this, my plane registers movement, usually downward at
speeds varrying from 100 to 1400 Feet per second verticle, usually arrounf 600-800 on avg. . Needless to say crashes and tires blown
galore.
By having this option available, I can still have a beautifull flight and land passengers more often ( some crashes will still occur on the
900+ fps decent buy hey, beggars can't be choosers ) , and at least I could get my rank out of the negatives ( going to make a new one
when/if option becomes available ).
Please Dan , while I do understand the needs and wants of others for learning to fly as close to real as you can . I'd love to be able to have
both the cake and pie . I.E. - graphics higher and still be able to land.
