In a long flight, I serve hot food.
Then, several hours later, when there's less than 1 hour till the passengers will get hungry again, I give them a drink, almost immediately
followed by sandwich, so drink and sandwich are served together.
The sandwich seems to be ignored: in flight information, it still says that they had hot food and will be hungry in less than one hour.
It happened just once, so maybe someone would try and confirm, to be 100% sure.
