Much better looking weather, moch more realistic feeling winds, new textures for different sorts of clouds, skies, lights etc. Framerate hits depends on how you configure it of course; if you choose 64x64 textures with mipmaps enabled you will actually gain framerates (but no better looking sim - rather worse  ). Anyway, YES, it's definitely a must have.
