But comments can have other purpose, (could be simply to keep a memo of a GOOD flight...)
Looking to the thread "sample log reports" I could see a very wise suggestion about logging the meteo an you can imagine many other s condition like
for example the assigned altitude for visual approach, sometiimes the ATC keep you flying at 1800 fts for 20 miles and sometimes you just have time to
dive with all flaps, gears and spoiler out to have a chance to reach the glide slope.
Could be as well the runway orientation or length, I don't think it is possible to make a field for all indication which can be relevant by times.
Some others relevant things you wish to remember can be simply impossible to log automatically (What joystick or PC tuning, how many real beers drunk
before and during the flight (Good excuse isn't it ?)
In summary I tell and repeat :
OK for a pilot memo BUT... not in this release PLEASE !!!! I simply can't wait
