Quote:My main concern is that I preffer to avoid big rework on the database at 10 day
from the release, for now it's proof and solid....
This idea about a pilot comment is indded great, not only for any sort of "not my fault" but as well
for some memo whatever is the flight result.. Anyway, this idea deserve much more than a "quickie" add.
What at first looks simple is ALWAYS more complicated than expected.
Just read the posts so far :
The idean entry field where the pilot can fill in some comments
so
1 Add a text field in the log table (but problem of file size so
2 Create a new table where the comments are stored but then
3 Add a unique Id field in the log table fto use ase foreign key in the comment table
4 establish a codification A, B, C;;;; for various events (But is it possible to list in advance
everything a pilot would like to log ?)
Behind this, all the user interfaces to enter, search and view, edit the comments...
So it will be a serious work.
Here is my selfish view for the next future :
The main thing I wait from FSPassenger is an external apreciation of my flights. I did not an will not urge for fast release, I am however quite
eager to play with it then:
I would really prefere to get the first version as it is and keep additionnnal functions for next releases.
About database
Due to my work, I have good experience in database conception and enhancements, I indeed think that additional table (several if some values must be
codified) will be necessary. If I can help in this matter, it will be my pleasure
