Glad to hear Boeing are going to continue with the Sonic Cruiser project but I have a feeling they're only doing so to compete with the replacement
for the Concorde which was announced by France and Japan about 2 months ago I think. And as Brad pointed out, M0.98 isn't a huge improvement on the
average cruising speed and would not save THAT much on flight time. I think with todays technology France and Japan's project will be more of a
success and I'm confident they'll sort out the two major difficulties of fuel consumption and the sonic boom.
