Problem with FsPassengersX 2015 ? Please read here !

Hello,

As I have FSX-SE, I have been encountering the same issue as cjboy31:

I click on "Yes", and ended up with a crash:

So far, here's what i've done:
- Completely uninstalled FSX-SE and FSPax
- Re-download and install FSX-SE
- Install FSPax (Dec. 26, 2015)
- Run FSX-SE
--- Same issue
- Uninstalled SimConnect that was installed automatically by FSX-SE
- Installed all 3 SimConnect installers posted at the top of this thread
- Run FSX-SE
--- Same issue
- Copied dll.xml from FSX-SE's AppData to the current user's FSX AppData folder
- Run FSX-SE
--- Same issue
- Copied a new "UIAutomationCore.dll" from one of the fixes provided by users
- Run FSX-SE
--- Same issue

I had almost tried changing version numbers, but as you have said, it wasn't necessary. While FSPax is not installed, FSX-SE loads just fine.

The crash didn't produce a log.txt, but I have the last FSPXInstall.log here:

If there is no log.txt the FsPassengers.dll wasn't executed at all, just loaded, it's maybe a 0xc0000005 related to memory error ?

In anyway I need the log of the event viewer to know which error was triggered in fsx see here:

Okay....
The root cause is FSX memory problem, just loading the dll without executing one line of code trigger this fault.
This can happen with many addons, scenery, or aircraft it always was a weak point of Fsx version. (search for FSX 0xc0000005 )

What I can do is trying to change the load adress and memory model of the FsPassengersX.dll to see if it solve the problem.

Are you ready to test 4-5 dll ? (you need each time to reinstall fspassengers, copy the dll, launch fsx, check. Try another dll etc. etc.)

Okay first DLL - A good candidate 0x17530000

1-Reinstall FsPassengers (don't uninstall it will say it's an upgrade, you'll keep your files)
2-Download and unzip this dll in "FSX/FsPassengers/bin/FsPassengersx.dll" :

Make sure that you overwrite the existing dll!

(the location is something like "SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\FSX\FsPassengers\Bin" )

Sorry about that, old habit of mine (felt that the system is all messed up after all those workarounds). But I made sure that the error was still there. Here's what i've done:
- Reinstalled FSX-SE
- Checked if FSX-SE is running without errors (without FSPax)
--- All good
- Install FSPax (Dec. 26, 2015)
- Run FSX-SE
--- Error comes up again:

- Reinstall FSPax
- Replace original DLL with the 0x65000000
- Run FSX-SE

Can you try this below please ? (No worry for your profile or files, you'll get them back at the end)

(Note: you'll need to enable display of hidden files and folder if you don't see the files below, see here: )

1-Go to "C:\Users\Lazarus\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\" (for other it's C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft)
2-Rename the folder "FSX" to "FSX_disabled"
3-Go to "C:\Users\Lazarus\AppData\Local\Microsoft"
4-Rename the folder "FSX" to "FSX_disabled"
5-goto "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft"
6-Rename "FSX" to "FSX_disabled"
5-Launch FSX, the folder above will be recreated. Don't touch any settings in FSX.
6-Quit FsX
7-Reinstall FsPassengers, but this version:

8-Launch FsX, see if it change anything in the message about FsPassengers and if you have the log.txt etc etc.

Reinstall all if you want your old profile and files back:
1-Go to "C:\Users\Lazarus\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\"
2-Delete the new "FSX" folder, Rename the folder "FSX_disabled" to "FSX"
3-Go to "C:\Users\Lazarus\AppData\Local\Microsoft
4-Delete the new FSX folder, Rename the folder "FSX_disabled" to "FSX"
5-goto "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft"
6-Delete "FSX" and rename "FSX_disabled" to "FSX"


If the situation change, please DON'T delete your old "FSX_disabled" folder, I'll need them.
