Dumbest thing you ever did in flight.

I took off with the door hanging wide open once. Left it that way when I saved locationthe night before and totally forgot until I rotated and I
got the bang and the co-pilot said something sorta rude. I felt really silly. I didn't even "hit the wrong button".

My funniest thing (Bearing in mind I'm a noob)

-Forgot to close doors, and turn on seatbelt sign
-Taxiing (On tower view), then put it back on cockpit view, realising I was going to fast, but it was too late!!!
-I rest my hand down the side of my joystick, accidently pressed the "Landing Gear" button, at FL250 and you know the rest
-Confused the "Speed and Heading" bit on the A/P (Like someone else did)
-Forgot to lower landing gear!!!
-Forgot to raise landing gear!!
-I sometimes get bored, so I crash on purpose, Im terrible. I can only do 1/2 hour flights coz I get bored! lol
-Watching TV at same time, realising I had missed ATC giving me an instruction, and ATC saying "ATC Service terminated" or summat
-Watching TV at same time, realising I had missed a VOR to turn on!
-Letting my brother (Knows nothing about planes) control the engine's on landing!!! (You know what lil bro's are like!)
-Landing, ATC told me to do a GA due to another plane stealing me RWY, I was in a rush so I landed, and crashed into it!!!
-Landing (On what I thought was) the RWY, turned out to be the Taxi way!! (Right at the start of my FS experience)
-Seeing my Altimeter,Speed indicator and Attitude indicator had 'frozen', I declared an emergency, only to realise it wasnt an FSP failure.

And many more but I gotta do my homework now Oh well

Well, I am currently on a 5 hour flight and just realised I have my destination set to my departing airport (KPHL) PAX wont be too happy knowing they have been unannouncedly routed 1700nm from the destination.

Forgot to turn on the generators. About 20 minutes into the flight, the engines died due to lack of electric power. And of course there was no power
to restart the engines either.

Poden, that has to be a very very sucky way to loose an odd few hundred passengers, your pilot, your plane, and some of your self
respect XD.

That's not one that would happen in real life, although I'm sure there's been a few inadvertant gear deployments for other reasons!

On a 11 our flight i had 1 hour left and i was checking the flight report . while i was trying to resize it by mistake i pressed the avionics swithch
which was just under the report . This turned the autopilot off causing a 20 degrees pitch at mach .83 . suprisingly the passengers wernt happy by one
bit.

Another classic one was when i pressed ctrl shift m for the movie

Last night I finally had my faux pas in FSP. While climbing to altitiude from MEM-ORD in Captain Sim's B757-300, I was panning different
views while in the VC mode, and while doing so, the mouse cursor went across the fuel cut-off switches on the console and shut the
engine downs without me having to click the mouse button! Things got interesting pretty darn quickly, to say the least. I quickly turned off
alt. hold, lowered the nose of the aircraft, and went through the process of restarting the engines. Whew! I saved my own backside as
well as the 201 passengers. Of course their fear factor went up considerably at the moment the engines went silent

i remember once i had full throttle on at the runway and wondered why i wenrt moving? checked the engines go to the brakes.... "ahh the brakes are
still on"

I managed to do the famous 'CTRL-SHIFT-M to play a movie' last night, which lost me quite a few points just because the pax were under
the impression that we were about to crash for some strange reason

I also have a nasty habit of pressing 'F3' to engage reverse thrust, only to sit there wondering why the end of the runway is coming
towards me at a very high rate of knots.

I blame it on the keyboard, it's about time they invented one for totally incompetent morons like myself.

Okay, probably my dumbest thing I did even before I started the flight - aircraft selection!

Oftentimes, I'll stick a nice panel and sound set into a PAI model and takeoff. Well, this one didn't have proper contact points - think it was
an AA DC10 or something. Anyway, after the whole flight I touched down - WAY down! UNDERGROUND! The stupid thing sank deep
into the runway until - Crash - the dreaded green bar!!!!!!!



After that, I shelved FS9 for about a month!
