well if im flying a long flight i'd like to spend 30 min flying it and get the the revenue from the flight rather than the pilot points.

You can always cheat... I mean edit the game to your liking, by turning off the time compression penalty in the config file.

Disabling penalties in moreconfig is not a cheat since the fact that you have them disabled is stated in your flight report.
