Engine 1 failed just as I leave the threshold of 28
. Declare an emergency and shut down the engine.
Engine failed because of
low oil pressure (I never noticed until it was to late
) and I was unable to start it again.
The passengers are screaming in the back while I try to get a positive rate of climb
, starting to make a right hand turn to miss the
hills on the left. Turn around and setup for an emergency landing . Test flying with a notch of flaps and the gears out, losing airspeed and
height to fast
, retract gear and flaps , will have to keep this for the last moment.
As I align with 28 I start the descend, 500 agl I drop the gear and put a notch of flaps.
Coming over the numbers and a bit high, Idle
engine 2 and float it in. Main wheels touch, slowly lower the nose wheel. As the nose wheel touch $#%@#&* crash…
2 People dead, 3 injured. Flight crew injured. The boss is going to kill me.
I will have to look at this model, every time I add weight to the nose baggage compartment the nose wheel collapse on landing.
