Do you have a firewall acitve? Disable it and see if the update works then?

I just downloaded AS6 myself yesterday and it is amazing. About your download problem, make sure you read the ASv6 User Guide. It
will have you make some changes to FS weather menu (and don't forget to copy and paste the new FSUIPC.dll). I don't know if that will
help or not.
The best thing (other than the awesome weather rendering) about ASv6 is no more instant changes to winds aloft sending you
overspeed! It is smooth, giving your engines time to adjust. I have only taken one flight with it so far but I love it!

I totally agree, that was a major factor in me buying AS6. I could not deal with getting -600 points everytime the wind shifted, and I don't
like turning off the FSP penalties, it's less realistic by turning them off. I've now done about four or five flights with it, through all types of
weather, and I simply love it. So realistic!

I downloaded it yesterday but haven't used it yet... I'm still trying to learn the PMDG 737ng.
