These FsPax Passengers are mindless eating machines anyway.

I was on a trip Philadelphia -> Hong Kong lately ... non-stop 16 hours straight. We got a very good hot meal with a sufficient amount of booze to put
us to sleep. Shortly after wakeup (about 2 hours before arrival), we got another meal that I would say qualified as "Sandwich" in FsPax terms.

At no point during the flight did I feel hungry. Nor did I see any cases of cannibalism or attempts to blackmail flight attendants into serving more
food or anything like that.

So I'd say, these greedy meat grinders that FsPax loads into your plane should be put on a diet anyway. You will save on fuel too, in the long run.

Hmmm ... I must be missing something. But what exactly do you expect the moderators to do? Should they moderate questions more? Delete stupid,
duplicate or otherwise useless questions? Edit spelling errors or reword the questions in some way? What?

Ok, let me state this:

1) Answering NO, the food config cannot be changed is NOT an answer: everything can be changed
2) Answering "who cares, I'm not doing long haul flights" is not an answer
3) Answering that the author cannot be asked to change something which is really wrong in the program (a PAYWARE program) because he's busy, is not an
answer

The hot food bug is a MAJOR bug, because:

1) is virtually imposible to perform "perfect" flight with passengers eating every 3 hours and with just 2 hot food to be served on, let's say, 12-14
hours flights
2) Why passengers have to eat every 3 hours? Are they diabetic?
3) Alcohol is being served throughout the whole damn flight, making pax drunk, which even lower their percentage of satisfaction
4) setting food service on automatic (a MUST in long hauls), movies are NEVER played.

I do believe there is enough stuff to focus the attention of the FSPAX author on it.

As mentioned were Dan to customise FSP to every single user of FSP then he would probably die at the helm of his keyboard... it would
be near imposible...
As others have said.. plan your flight correctly (for FSP) and All is fine....


Not always can everything be changed... and....who says that it is "really wrong" perhaps your flight planning is just a little bit off?

Why not just let pax go hungry for a bit then feed em? You don't take a points hit so I don't see the big deal.

Also serving sandwiches helps as well, the original post (from over a year ago) doesn't mention anything of serving sandwiches.


Anyway if ya'll feel so strongly about it, go to school, learn to program, and change it.

I ran a 10.5 hour flight last night with autoservice. My pax got 3 meals and 3 drinks.

Well I just flew a 11.4 hr flt but my passengers got 2 meals, the mini report said -30% satisfaction because passengers were hungry but strangely this happened :


Passenger Opinion: Exceptional flight (100%)
-Are pleased to have landed right on schedule.
-Were irritated because they were hungry sometime during the flight.
-Were pleased by the music on ground. A very nice addition to their flying experience.
Overall Flight Result: Perfect

Pilot Bonus points: 948 points
You made a very nice landing. (+50)
Perfect Flight, no problems and very satisfied passengers. (+150)
You landed at the scheduled airport. (+30)
Precise arrival time at destination.(00h09 difference) (+100)
Long flight (11h22) without using time acceleration, without any problems and with satisfied passengers. (+568)
Very bad weather conditions during take-off, but a safe landing and satisfied passengers. (+50)

no penalty points either

The only way to effectively get around this problem is to just shut off crew modeling (i.e., set aircraft as having no crew) no bonus to be had
anymore, but no penalties either.

Sorry, not if it's hard coded, there is more than 5'000 value in FsP and the flexibility of it make that a lot of peoples fly differently, hence a lot
of peoples have differents concern, idea, change to submits, so it doesn't just resume to "hey dan do just mine it take 5mn" it's
impossible. Releasing one new version is not so simple and if I do that just for your value I'll get 500 mails of suggestion and ranting
about other concern or idea not done or changed and the fact that I "do not listen customers blablabla".

My outlook database make 2.7 gigabyte (this number is exact) full of mails from peoples that need just "5mn of my time" In anyway I know peoples that do regulary long flight without any penalty so you have to be subttle with distribution of food. I would not call it a major bug yet.

Sorry I can't read all mails and also keep an eyes on all posts, but if you send me a mail with your customer number and your suggestion
you'll get a better listening (I didn't find your email in the customer database)
