First I just wanted to say I've lurked in this forum since January before finally registering tonight to ask this. I check this blasted thing
every single day hoping that the product would suddenly be released. I'm hoping that our patience pays off and from the looks of it, I'm
confident that it will.
I've searched the forums but I couldn't find the answers to these questions:
#1: Regarding buying aircraft....I know that FSPassengers looks in your aircraft folder and all of those aircraft / paintschemes will be
available for purchase. My question is regarding the prices and quality of the aircraft..how are these determined? Has Dan actually
researched used planes enough to have a good ballpark idea of how much each plane costs? I know that there are thousands of addon
planes out there, what if we would like to use a rare plane that Dan may not have the cost associated with, like a custom plane? Are the
cost variables based on weight or type of plane or how does that work? Also will most planes have different models to buy, like say a
junky 50% effective model as well as a 90-100% newer model? How does the cost variable work there?
#2: I thought I saw the answer to this before but I couldn't find it through the search. What is the penalty for using time compression? Will
the pilot be credited for real time in the air or for sim time? Is the profit the same if you fly a route using time compression as if you flew it
in real time? I like to fly longer routes sometimes but I don't have the time to keep the bird in the air for hours at a time. It would be nice if
I could take off and get to cruise, turn on 4x compression for a while, then return to real time and land at my destination. Of course I
would expect less of a profit and only real time flight hours credited to my pilot...is this how it works?
