Does anyone know how the cost for hiring (transfering) a pilot is computed? Is it a fixed cost, or depend on the pilot, level, points, etc?
I ask because I started a new company and wanted a budget just large enough to buy three specific planes and acquire all three of my active pilots.
Through some trial and error I learned I needed to have about $3+ Million extra to get the pilots and still have just enough left over for the 3
planes and a small ($10k) operating cushion. I've just done it the one time so I don't really know if that will change next time I start a company
because the skill level and hours of the pilots have gone up etc.
Just curious. The manual only makes a parenthetical comment about there being a cost to transfering pilots. I assumed it was only going to be a few
hundred dollars the first time and had to start my company over because I didn't have a large enough start up budget (all planes, no money to hire my
experienced pilots!). There doesn't seem to be any cost to creating a new (C0) pilot within the company.
