Just finally read this after several months...

do they have to sepak English any where in the world

I can only speak for IVAO policy which is English is MANDATORY, other approved ICAO langugages may be used, but may NOT be
substituted for English if a pilot requests it. ICAO languages are English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese.

does any one no about SECAL codes?

I use squawkbox all the time flying on line with a mate. It can be as realistic as you really want it to be.
Becomes a problem flying around Asia, usually have trouble understanding their English on voice, but the beauty is you can type the commands in .
Double clicking on the green controller in the sb display will change your comm unit to that freq. You can also chat privately on line on a seperate
freq so the controller cannot hear you and your not broadcasting to all and sundry. Occassionally there is only a centre controller who really isnt
interested in ground or airport movements. However, they (ATC) seem to have a knack of coming on steam when your approaching their immediate
vicinity.(Talk about stealth and spyware)


It really opens up the whole world especially at fly ins.

It shows you the added dimension of what real life pilots have to go through. easy just you against MSFS atc but vatsim is a hell of a lot more
challenging.
