Very interesting incident

Good morning/afternoon/night ladies and gentleman!!
How are we doing??

Well, I was looking at my reports and my pilot points are negative because of an incident it happened a couple of days ago.
I just arrived in Gatwick from Alicante (my passengers weren't happy to come back from their holidays in the sunny spain. When I left
spain that day it was about 25C. When I got Gatwick 10) maybe.... lol

Well, lets go to the point. So I was taxing to the gates when a twin engine was about to leave its gate straight to the runway, As I was
already on the lane and they were still at their gate I just said to myself, come on up and pass them by.
So I did, but suddenly, this bloody idiots I guess they got ready to go and try to get into the lane where I was still with my precious
b737300. Guess what happened.....

That's not my complaint, What I compain of its that fsp detected a crash with other aircraft. Fair enough, good detail from Dan. BUT, how
about the penalty thing.
if you look at the points they took me off you would see that it says. ' the aircraft crash at a v/s of -140 something' ??????????????????
How could it be??? It was pilot error, RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Yes, it was but It was the bloody drunken
pilot in the other plane, not me!!! buah buah buah!!!

Anyways, it doesn't make sense, why that v/s and why that many points????
Don't you think this is a little bit too much?

Right, got it, how about if it was viceversa, i crash the plane with other aircraft, it would be the same story, but... how can I blame my pilot
for another pilots error??

I've learned simply to stay away from AI traffic. One time I had massive failures flying into a warzone. I managed to land the plane with a busted
fuel tank, loss of one engine, loss of hydralics, electrical, etc.... I landed it safely, but because I had no electrical and couldn't talk to the
tower, they cleared another plane to take off after I landed and he flew righ through me! Needless to say, if I even SUSPECT that AI trafic might
give me headaches, i just quickly reduce traffic to 0% until they are out of my way. Tehy are not realistic in the slightest, just eye candy when
convenient.....

Yep, I know what you mean, actually, I've been just lately using AI trafffic. The reason why is because I wanted to have some company and
some more realism during the flight.
However, they are very dump and can give you horrible headaches.
But, how about the v/s penalty? I still don't understand it

I can't really answer your question about the v/s penalty, but at a guess, when the other plane hit you, your plane might have tipped up off
the ground and FS detected the v/s of it hitting the ground again. A bit strange since FS seems to detect a crash the minute that your
plane goes within a couple of feet of another aircraft or bit of scenery, so I'm probably wrong!

On the subject of AI traffic, I've found that using a traffic density of 50% or less provides you with a bit of company, but without having to
dodge the pretty planes on the Taxiway or (even worse) have to execute constant go-arounds at busy airports. I've also found that if you
use the FS ATC, they make a (semi!) reasonable job of avoiding crashes on the ground. The only collisions I've had have happened
when I was using FSNav without exporting the flightplan to ATC.

I also tend to taxi in spot plane view quite a bit. I'm a terrible cheat

Just remember that if changing your viewpoint during spot view mode CAN lead to a crash

Got your point. You're right. 50 % would be very enough. As I've got ultimate traffic I love to see all these airliners around me. However, as
you've already said its a bit annoying when you do 3 goes around in a row.
I also thought about the jumpy thingy but I don't think fs would reconise that.

Anyways, I already fired myself as tonight I was greedy and didn't put that much fuel on the plane and I consumed some of the rsv fuel... lol
