Well, ok, it's not good to get early in reality. I was too optimistic about those waiting pax.
Though I would like to comment one argument here:
Anastasios:
[quote]An airline has to pay for every minute it 's plane is parked at an airport. Just like you would park your car at a garage. The plane
cannot depart earlier. So the airline has to pay for 30 minutes more parking time.
in the world?

Let me guess... NO!

Let me guess...YES
Why do you think airlines do not want to wait for late passengers. A few minutes longer at a gate can cost an airline thousands of dollars.
30 minutes at an airport is more expensive than 30 minutes in the air. Airlines do have to pay to be in the air (fuel) but the plane is
moving, you are going to your destination. 30 minutes longer at an airport, doing NOTHING is more expensive. Think about it, when a
plane flies it costs money, but the airline is also earning money, as it is doing his job. A plane standing at a gate costs money and the
airline earns no money, as it is doing nothing at all.
Tasos.
