nah, no licence anyhow. And although I must have getting on for 2k hours on FS it's nearer to 2k seconds on real aircraft. Cessna and a
Tiger Moth. And boy did I ever fall head over heels in love with the Moth.

Jboweruk, I fully understand your view of flying online. I couldnt try it for a while, simply for being afraid. But if you seek realism and want to
catch up on feeling like a real pilot, than there is no better way than Vatsim. There is no way you will get booted, it is not of anyones
interest to cut you short of a real experience. Being a controller myself, I can assure you it is our responsiblity to make sure that a pilot
has full satisfaction. If you can fly an IFR flight offline, then you are set for vatsim. Anywho... its just a hobby, and we all take it to different
heights, whether its educational or just merely for fun and relaxation. I dont see how vatsim is restrictive, as i would say the contrary but
thats just my experience.

i loaded a demo of fshotseat jboweruk but i couldnt get it to tell me things... said i had an invalid flightplan for my demo even though i was
flying in the chicago area. any tips?

Okay what error message did you get?

You need to actually create an FS flightplan for a start. It HAS to be FS not Navigator or other 3rd party.
ALT HI means you're plane cannot reach the alloted altitude in time ( bit of a misnomer that one as you can edit the value that causes this
from within hotseat, but you will have to alt + tab over to it.)

If that last one is the cause use Alt + TAB to get out to FSHS with FS running still, choose the AC tab, then go to the second (i think) page.
From there you will see some things are in red, these are editable from here. Just click on the name of the item you wish to change ( in
this case Base Vert. Speed) and change it to something like 1000 or so. Then save the change and go back to FS9. Change your plane
to something else. then change back again so it re-loads, then you should be okay.

How far were you trying to fly also, as all airports must be within the Chicago area.

i will have another go tonight John, it just said invalid flight plan... i was only flying from Geig Airport to the intl one nearby (forget the
names) will try to print screen, maybe i havent set it up correctly?

in the beechcraft provided, i tried without a flightplan last night and it recognises that i am not doing a flightplan and tells me off so it must
be linked... however, should i see my plane details in it? john perhaps you could email direct as i feel we may be vearing into hotseat
support ..?
