There are a couple of fixes to this, one of which was already suggested: increase the braking power.
The other is quite simple. Chances are your joystick throttle isn't ALL the way to idle. Push it back to idle, then hit F1.
You could also play with the null zone on it as well to make it work everytime, however, that can be a bit more tricky and you might have
to "trick" it by not pulling it all the way back in calibration.
