Can I do this?

I have a plan. I've decided to experience the 'entire' century flight, and I think I've got a pretty good idea of how to do it. I'll create a new
pilot, and start collecting points and flight time flying mail in the 1920's. Once my rank is high enough, I'll form a new company starting in 1930,
with a single Ford Tri-motor. I'll do one week of flights (with the modifier set at x50) and then warp the date one year forward, to simulate 50 weeks
of flight (and this will leave me with 2 weeks of vacation every year). Then do the same thing all over, until finally I'll be flying 747's and
Concordes, if I make enough money in time!!!

This is my question:
I would like to use Golden Wings for the early days, so I'll need two seperate installations of FS9 on the same PC, with FsPax setup in both
installations. Can I do this without violating any licenses, and without messing up FsPax?

Anybody got any ideas?

I think you can actually! From what I remember, FSP does NOT create any registry entries so there shouldn't be a problem with multiple
installations.

Yes you can do that, remember that you must exchange the
database folder before switching to another install.

May be an intteresting things, also just for cosmetic purpose you can add more currency
like the "dollars 1950" that you can select, just copy it in the "money_currency.cfg"
and rename it "dollars 1920" etc etc... you can add one money every 10 years.

this is only cosmetic anyway...

Okay, I'll remember to copy the db folder when I switch. Is the pilot data also stored in the db folder?

About the currency.... yeah I know, and I've already tried this out with the 1950's currency. Works like a charm. Funny thing is, every now and then
you'll have repairs done to your aircraft, and pay $1

Yes, pilot, company, flights ALL your data are in the "database" folder...

be aware of the "file mix of the death" if you mix differents files, my advice is that you must
clean first the destination before copying the files.

Maybe it's not clear...

-Say you have a pilot in the file "8973454543.db"
-now you copy this entire database in the destination folder
-you launch Fs9 and decide to delete one pilot (the one in the file "8973454543.db")
-now you copy back the database in the first database without cleaning it.
This file doesn't exist anymore in the 2nd database but virtually the file "8973454543.db"
still exist in the first database... this *may* lead to some inconsistency (not in this case but it ***may*** in some special case)

So clean first the destination folder before copying so this can't happen.

A cool things to switch easilly would be to setup a dos bat that will each time you click on it:

1-save the source database file into a "backup 1st database" (for security)
2-delete all files in destination folder
3-copy all file from source to destination

And you do another BAT to reverse...
