[Solved] Just installed purchased FSP, FSX won't start

Running W7

I get an error message asking me if I'd like to run the third party software. I click "Yes" and the FSX startup screen just
stays on and doesn't
respond anymore.

Help please!

Which version of FSX are you running?

My FSX is up to date (all service pack updates installed) and always as administrator

Have you tried downloading the Vista and Win7 patch for a .dll file that is corrupted by Windows updates - look in the FSX forums under the add-ons
sticky.

But I'm not sure this will fix the issue, since your problem is the program hanging, not crashing to the desktop.

Are you 100% absolutely and completely sure you "run as administrator"? Not just from an admin account, but actually right-clicking on the icon and
selecting "run as administrator."

do you think FSUIPC may have something to do with it? I have it installed with Ivap from the IVAO network. I'm really worries FSP will never work
for me

I doubt very much that FSUIPC would have anything to do with it as many FSP users also use FSUIPC without problems. If the .dll replacement doesn't
work, then we would have to suggest a reinstall of FSP.
