good evening to all!! (timezone dependant) the title is pretty self explanitory...

in was on approach to ymml (melbourne australia) after a 1 and a half hour flight from sydney (yssy) the engines spooled down and the
co pilot in his terriably irritating voice proclaimed that the fuel tanks had run dry i was miles away from the airport (or any alternative for
that matter) so decided to attempt a ditching in the ocean, i was all of half a mile away from it when i crashed down into houses luckily i
was testing to see how much i would make from an all cargo flight so lost no passengers

i dont have instant record on so didnt record it, (if i had legitimtly crashed then i would of recorded it) so im here to ask...

why did this happen!?!?!?!?!?

In real life flying you would perform a fuel check to determine cruise fuel flow. Personally I don't trust the in-flight report so I do it like I
used to for real (yes tracky, with an E6-B) I don't know if what hppened to you was a legit FSP failure, if it is and you declare an
emergency then your a hero, if it is not, then you look like an idiot and you have to eat the penality points. Either way it is an
emergency so treat it as such if for nothing else than the practice. Perhaps Dan(hope you are feeling well) or the Mods can answer if it is
an FSP legit failure.

It could be a FsP's failure, (fuel leak) but maybe you didn't put enough fuel in the plane before take off

The best way to know it would be to look at the final report, but since you didn't record your flight, you probably don't have it...

Likely an FsP induced failure/fuel leak since the copilot will not report non-FsP fuel related failures, at least in the FS9 version. Most of the
planes I use require manual fuel management and so constant monitoring like Gbapache does is a good habit that keeps you out of
trouble. And out of the water...

thanks guys i took off with more than enough fuel for a sector of this length, as i said 1.5 hrs, so i added 65% to be safe

i was on approach with 42% fuel remaining when i switched to spot view momentarily to enjoy the addon scenery, went back
into vc and almost immendiately the co pilot told me i had run out of fuel...

i looked at the in flight report and fspax said i hadnt loaded eough fuel onto the aircraft (when i really had) im thinking maybe its a glitch?

if you go to your fsp folder there is a file called "LastViewedReport" and then you can check it again , if you didn't do another flight and saw
the report.
