Re: Terror Airlines Flight TA340 from Honolulu to Los Angeles
I am writing to tell you that I will NEVER fly with Terror Airlines again. Never. Here's why. We boarded the 747 and began to take-off. The captain
aborted the take-off and the flight attentant explained that the captain had forgot to close the doors. We returned to the start of the runway and
took -off. I knew something was wrong as soon as we got airborne.
We climbed really steep, then the aircraft started to fall, faster and faster. Finally, the aircraft pitched down and we somehow survived a belly-flop
landing in the sea just off the beach.
Well, we were taken back to the terminal at Honolulu and seeing how the 747 was all smashed up on the beach, Terror Airlines was kind enough to bring
in a replacement aircraft - a 777.
Against my better judgement, I borarded the plane and the flight was quite nice - I was upgraded to First Class. We had two movies, lots of drinks, a
hot dinner just after take-off and snacks just before landing. The flight went well, until we began the approach to LAX. Now, I don't know what your
pilot was thinking, but I swear we we too low and almost ran into the mountains - I know it's hard to see in the smog, but don't these planes have
intrusments?
Well, we climbed up and then dropped really fast once over the mountains - I'm sure I heard the co-pilot cry out for his momma and I heard him yell
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" - it was like a roller-coaster. Then we started to climb again and the Captain came on and told us that we were going missed
approached, something about getting confused with the NAV and GPS and not locked on to the ILS and visability too bad for a visual approach - not
sure what all that meant.
So we went around again and this time we did land - it seemed a bit all over the place as if the plane couldn't find the runway. I've never landed on
the grass besides the runway before - it was kid of cool, but a bit bumpy. I don't think the airport appreciated all those lights being knocked over
though.
I was trembling once we got to the gate, but the co-pilot was more scared than us - he ran off the plane calling for his momma. The flight attendants
were great - but tell that captain we agree with the co-pilot - NEVER AGAIN.
