Manifold pressure dropping to zero after take-off

HI Dan,

I have a repeatable problem with FS Passenger X - I think it's a bug. I fly general aviation and have tried three flights with two aircraft - single engine
props. All three times, a few minutes after take-off, the manifold pressure drops to close to zero, I lose power. Trying to restart the engine has no
effect (it's still running). After I crash, FSPX reports no known failure at the time.

Anybody else have this. Both aircraft are third party freeware, I haven't tried with a default yet. Never happened before installing FSPX.

When I fly the plane without FSPX this does not happen.

Also - running WinXP

- Track-IR
- CH control manager

is it plane from FSX or third parties ?
Strange problem indeed never experienced anyway

Hi Dan,

FSX SP2

It is WinXP Home edition, SP2, and Nvidia geforce with latest drivers

I'm going to try a default aircraft (Cessna 172) and we'll see what happens. Is there a log file I can send to you?

Well, I went for a flight in the default Cessna 172 and FS Passengers X worked flawlessly. Nice job, BTW.

So I changed planes on the ground, then took off in the FSInsider Cessna 152 (freeware with free subscription). After take-off and shortly after flaps
up, the manifold pressure drops to idle and will not respond to the throttle. This does not happen in the 152 if FSPX is not running.

Can somebody download the FS Insider 152 and go for a flight in it and see if you have the same problem?

I did try FSP on another third party GA aircraft (cant remember which ne now) and had the same problem.

It is a consistent problem, happens everytime with this aircraft.

I hope you can figure this one out Dan, it seems odd.
