but for a product that does supposedly work 100%
Do you know of a computer prog which works 100%! Fantastic news: which one were you thinking of?

just take a look at all the posts on the forum from customers purchasing and having issues, or have had issues in the past.
If you really have read the posts in question you will have noticed that some drivers are a.k.a. "buggy".
Let's say a developer respects the published SDKs and encounters a fault in a driver: who is to blame?
Many people used to make fun of Netscape because it often refused to load pages and consequently displayed all sorts of error messages.
However, what many people didn't know is that Netscape checked the page's code for errors before displaying them. I.E. simply displayed what it found,
regardless of what errors were encountered.
When I recently purchased a new graphics card I had similar problems to yours: so I simply went and checked out a couple of support forums (including
ours) downgraded my driver and haven't had problems since then.

I'll try some of what has been suggested above, and advise how it goes. At this rate its looking like a complete re-install of everything from
scratch, this must and has to be the absoulute last resort option.
Which I very well understand!
Do me a favour: before you do, try out various drivers, will you?
