Don't worry: that's the reason why this forum exists (other than to validate Drew's Anger Management classes, that is..).

There is indeed on FsP forum an HUGE bag of tips and tricks about this false wrong airport issue.
It is indeed a pity to unboard our passengers on a taxiway or in the control tower to avoid the wrong airport pen. I would suggest for the next version this change in the way FsPassenger determine the airport we are on: Currently, FsP assumes we are On the airport which center is the closer to our plane. In some occasions especially on large airport we can be at a gate closer to the center of a small nighbour airport then the center of the big airport we actually are. Would it be possible to simply check that the destination airport is not farther than a distance (if possible set in moreoption.cfg) of about 3 nm ? This would solve the hassle with gps tracking, heliport etc.

Thanks for your approval on this "not farther than' idea Gentlemen
well, now only the developper of FsP can decide how and if it can be implemented. As Christmas is now comming in our mind, I wish to post another request to Santa Dan (prends le pas mal Daniel, tu sais que derrière l'humour toujours facile et parfois caustique, y a le respect du gars qui crée) Would it be possible to link penalties disabling to each plane we fly? this would solve the dilemma of the pilot who want to have flaps setting monitored when flying a "traditional" plane but don't want the penalties when flying Concorde. Or guys flying PSS panel who automatically set off the landing lights when the gears are retracted etc. I know that this would ask quite a change in the database strucure... |
