ATC Voices dissapear

Hi all. As soon as i start FSP i lose all voice contact with ATC although text messaging is okay. Other cockpit noises are not evident either...eg flap noise. ATC is working fine until i start the FSP program. Should i be hearing pre take off music?????
Any ideas?

I had it happen a few times too, try reloading your airplane, it works and FSP doesn't know it. You can go into the
OPTIONS>CONTROLS>ASSIGNMENTS on FS2004 and assign a key combo to reload an aircraft, I use CTRL+SHIFT+/, works everytime.

if you start from "Cold and Dark" you also have to set your radios to on. Maybe that could be the problem
