Yay man, had a problem with my gears. A belly landing was made :P

Hehe, FsP is really fun :P
Was on final and expecting to make a perfect landing when i hear the FO annoucing that we were encountering a problem :O

Cycled camera views to spot plane view and saw my gears were halfway down !

Declared emergency immediately and prepared for belly landing :P It was fun hehe, my first ever belly landing in my FS life.

Oh, and for that i got 1400points, i got promoted to C1 :D
On the other hand, i had to pay $10-$11k for maintenace (insurance paid inclusive) aww man
But the fun pays it back :D

Good job,

My advice for next time, pay the bill without the insurance. 11K is not bad and definitaly not worth increasing your premium. Don't forget that a 0.1%
increase on your premium will add up quickly as it's calculated every flight.

I calculated if, without insurance, i would had to pay $19k.
I thought $11k is cheaper Didnt think of anything else.

By the way, my company has like only $20k now.
I'm thinking of selling this 734 at $36k and buy a 777, if possible ?

Or any other ways to get cash real quick :P I want a few planes.

I don't think you'll be finding a 777 laying around for 36M. lol. Keep the 737! Long live the 737! And next time, when you have a failure, if
the co-pilot doesn't immediately point out what it is (he's good at that), try to find it yourself. A gear failure isn't too hard to find, and in the
end it feels more rewarding that you stayed in the cockpit and found it. Just my 2 cents. Again, I'm one of the realism freaks of FSP.

Ok let's say i get a failure in the future, and the FO doesn't tell me what's the problem.

How should i find out?
Lets presume i know it's the gears fault, what do i do ?

I just call for emergency ? (That's not even finding out what's the problem)

Happened to me on my first FSP flight:

Turning base, gear down.

"Captain, there's a problem with the landing gear."

Look at landing gear lights: only 2 green, left side red.

Conclusion: Left side main gear not down.

Tried some hard landings to kick gear down, eventually worked.

If all gears were up, i'd declare Pan and go for the belly landing. I could try to pull some G's to get them down, but I bet the pax wouldn't
like that.
