Crash to Desktop after update of FsP

Hello folks,

after installing the new update I could at least start FsP again and normally it works fine. But I encountered now a new problem. Since I
have installed the new Version I had during my last 3 flights 2 times a total crash of FS2004.... it just disappeared... just gone.... total
Crash to Desktop (CTD). Did anyone encountered a similar problem.

... by the way I have also installed the Flight Calculator from Aerosoft since I did the update of FsP... maybe this is causing this issue....

It could be a number of issues. I believe this has been discussed in the past before (I'm not 100% sure though), so a forum search
might help you. If it's a recurring thing (the crash), the best solution is a complete removal, and reinstallation of FS9 and all addons.
You'd be suprised how much junk you clean out doing this (from unused programs and the like)! This probably isn't what you wanted to
hear, however it's the best solution when a problem can't be tracked down for sure. I know it wasn't what I wanted to hear when I had to
do it!

thanks for reply.... no this is what I did not wanted to hear.... but sometimes there is no better answer

I have now deinstalled the Flight Calculator and I will now wait if I get another CTD.... if yes.... then I will follow your guidance...

Christian, also notic the general vicinity of where the sim crashes to desktop. If you have not flown in that region recently, you might have
installed some scenery addons in the area that have a conflict somewhere (tends to be the reason I have faced similar CTDs).

Since FS is such a complex program, it's usually very difficult to single out a cause of multiple persistent crashes, and the best solution
is a remove and reinstall.
