Eric Cantu did a wonderful job on his 737-200, as it is indisputably the best 732 FS2004 freeware model
available. However, when combined with FSpax,
this aircraft experiences a tail strike at somewhere between 5 and 8 degrees of pitch on both departure and
tocuhdown. I've tried modifying the .cfg
file and swapping out other .cfg files, but nothing appears to correct the problem.
As you probably already know, the -200 series of the 737 is pretty darn difficult to tailstrike under normal
conditions. In fact, unless you rotate
too early or stall out, striking the tail of the -200 against the ground is almost unheard of. Take a look at this
picture of this Canadian 737-200
and note the required angle of attack that would be necessary to cause a tailstrike:
Long story short, is there any way to disable the tailstrike penalty/damage for this aircraft or a fix that can correct
this problem? It's
rather frustrating having to rotate at 170kts just to avoid a 5deg. tailstrike, and even worse on arrival for touchdown
flare. I love FSpax, but this
bug is making the experience very undesirable.
