FSPassengers Disappears from FS9 Header Bar

I purchased this software yesterday and so far it is useless because by the time the runway threshold has been reached, FSPassengers
has disappeared from the header bar. I read from earlier posts that this is not a new problem but no solution has been suggested.
Reloading the software has no effect, neither does leaving the options unaltered in their default state. Is anyone working on this fatal bug
rather than ploughing ahead on the next beta release?
