Hi all!
Since some third party airplanes come with their own load tools (LevelD B767, Majestic Software Dash8 to mention some) I was just curious if the
FSPassengers load tool makes any changes to the aircraft.cfg values? I suspect that it only changes the fuel load since AFAIK the aircraft.cfg can´t
be altered once the airplane has been choosen in MSFS?
Just to clarify I can give you an example of my planning and setting up process:
I start with downloading the current weather using ActiveSky V. The next step is to plan the flight with FSBuild and export the resulting flightplan
to where it´s needed. Here´s my first little hurdle. At this stage I don´t have a clue as to how many pax/cargo FSPassengers would want me to fly with
so I can´t choose the correct ZFW.
Having done that I use any external load tool that might be needed such as the LDS B767 one.
After this I boot up MSFS and choose the plane for the flight.
It is first at this stage I will see what loadout FSPassengers gives me. I could change the order of things and start my flightplanning now with
FSBuild, but I can´t use the external loadtools. AFAIK at least some of those tools are necessary to get a proper weight balance of the aircraft.
1. So the problem basically is that I need the ZFW data from FSPAssengers, but I would need it prior to actually choosing the airplane in MSFS. Can
this be achieved in any way?
2. What values (fuel, pax, cargo) are altered "live" by the FSpassengers loadtool?
3. If the cargo/pax load is changed live, do you know if this has any effect on the LDS 767 or other planes?
Hope I´m making some sense and that my little problem is solvable. Perhaps I´ve looked too close to see the simple solution.
The closest I´ve gotten is to make an educated guess during the planning and then tweaking the FSPax loadscreen to suit that, but this may leave
passengers standing at the gate and feels kinda backwards.
