Flaps penalty = OFF for individual planes?

I know there is an option to set the flaps penalty to off.. rather something like DISABLE_FLAPS_PENALTY=1 or some such (I googled it but don't remember the exact
wording of the setting.

However... I like having the flaps penalty (never had any issues with it)... then again, every airplane I flew so far for FSPassengers have flaps.

Recently I bought the PBY Catalina pack from Aerosoft (gorgeous airplane, amazingly cool cabin) and I bought one of the versions for my FSPassengers company. After
doing a successful tour flight and bringing her back to the terminal safely... I realized that I got a -400 point penalty because flaps were not set during takeoff and landing.

But the Catalina doesn't have flaps! So I can't set what I don't have.

So question is really... is there a way to remove flaps penalty only for the Catalina and leave it on for the rest of the airplanes which actually have flaps?

try manually adding in flaps to the aircraft.cfg that do not affect the aerodynamics, google around and il think you will find out how.

Alright, thanks. I'll look into that approach. Didn't think of editing the aircraft.cfg..

It explains stuff... but I never messed with the aircraft.cfg before.

So I should just add flaps, but put in 0 value on the lift, drag et.c. So I can basically set flaps one notch, but it would have zero effect?

Pretty much, haven't ever done this before as I always got a false penalty with the flaps even though they where extended.
